Lachesis

Size: 1070 mm x 1370 mm
Medium: Stained Glass

Lachesis evokes the Greek Fate who measures the thread of life, here reimagined as a pair of lips bound in a lattice of ribbons and quiet defiance. The bow becomes both ornament and gag, suggesting all the words cultured women are taught to package, soften, or swallow. Sharp reds and geometric webs hint at forbidden speech, power withheld, and desire coded into symbols rather than sound. A study in controlled seduction, Lachesis suspends the viewer between restraint and revelation.

Lip Service is a series of six stained- glass works, two of which were acquired at the India Art Fair, exploring seduction, silence, and the tension between adornment and voice. Rendered with couture- level precision, each panel meditates on female desire and the unspoken, using hand- selected shades refined through repeated digital and physical trials. What appears bold and pop reveals, on closer view, an obsessive feat of craftsmanship: dozens of individually cut glass fragments resolved into breathing compositions of colour, mythic symbolism, and engineered light.
